Terms of Service
Last updated 4 November 2026
Free Invoice Automation lets anyone create, send and get paid for invoices online, so no business needs paper to get paid. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are the agreement between you and us for using the website freeinvoiceautomation.com and its subdomains, the web app, the API, the MCP server, the CLI, our apps, plugins and connectors, and any related services (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account, or by using the Service without an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm that you may accept these Terms for that business, and “you” then means both you and that business. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
The Service is owned and operated by Genyune (SMC-Private) Limited, Plot # B-54, 13B, Block 1, Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi 75290, Pakistan (email [email protected]). In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Genyune (SMC-Private) Limited.
Paid subscriptions, extra team members, AI credit packs, sponsorships and donations are sold and charged by Genyune Inc., a company registered in Wyoming, United States, through Stripe. For those purchases, Genyune Inc. is the seller and appears on your card statement and receipts.
For any question about these Terms, email [email protected].
2. Words we use
- Account: your sign-up with us. An account can hold one or more businesses and, on paid plans, team members.
- Owner: the person who controls an account, its billing and its members. Every account has at least one Owner.
- Member: a person the Owner invites to an account, with a role that sets what they may do.
- Client: a customer of your business to whom you send documents through the Service.
- Documents: invoices, estimates, quotes, credit notes, receipts, contracts and other documents you create with the Service.
- Your Content: everything you or your members put into the Service (see “Your content and your clients”).
3. The Service
The Service helps you create and send documents, accept payments through payment providers you connect, send reminders, keep simple accounts and reports, and automate this work from the web app, the API, an AI assistant or your own tools.
- No payment cut. We never take a percentage of the payments your clients make to you. Payments go straight from your client to your own payment provider or bank account.
- We never hold your money. Card and wallet payments are handled on the payment provider's own hosted pages. We never see or store full card numbers.
- No ads for your clients. We do not show ads, affiliate links or sponsors on the invoice generator, your PDFs, client portal, pay pages or client emails. Sponsor logos appear only on our own marketing website (see “Sponsorships”).
We may add, change or remove features over time. If we remove a feature you pay for, we will tell you in advance and, where fair, give you a pro-rata refund.
Early and “Coming soon” features
Some features may be marked as beta, preview or “Coming soon”. Signing up to be notified does not commit us to a release date. Beta and preview features may change or stop, and are provided without any commitment on availability.
4. Your account and security
You can use the free invoice generator without an account. Drafts made this way stay in your browser until you create an account, when they are copied to it once. If you clear your browser data before signing up, those drafts are lost and we cannot recover them.
- You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date, including your business and billing details.
- Keep your password, sign-in links, passkeys, API keys and MCP tokens secret. We recommend turning on two-factor authentication.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account, including actions taken by your members, API keys, connected tools and the AI agent acting on your instructions.
- Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think your account has been used without permission.
- One person or business may not create several free accounts to get around plan limits.
Members and roles
The Owner can invite members and decide what each role may do. Nobody can give a member a permission they do not have themselves. The Owner is responsible for the members they invite and for removing access when it is no longer needed. A member's work, such as documents and audit history, stays in the account after the member leaves.
5. Plans, pricing and taxes
The Free plan costs nothing and includes every invoicing feature. It allows the Owner plus one view-only Accountant. Documents, pay pages, the portal and emails on the Free plan show a small “Powered by Free Invoice Automation” note. Fair-use limits apply to prevent abuse, for example on the number of emails we send for you each month. We may change fair-use limits with at least 30 days' notice.
The Team plan is a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly. It adds more members, editable and custom roles, an audit log, removal of the “Powered by” note, more platform emails, monthly AI credits and priority support. A set number of members is included; extra members are charged per member. Enterprise plans are agreed separately in a written order, which takes priority over these Terms where they differ.
Current prices, regional prices, included limits and the price for extra members are shown on our pricing page and at checkout.
- Prices are in US dollars unless checkout shows another currency.
- Taxes such as VAT, GST or sales tax are added where the law requires, and shown before you pay. If you buy for a business, enter your tax number at checkout where it applies.
- There is no free trial of the Team plan. Instead, every first Team payment has a 30-day money-back guarantee (see “Refunds and money-back guarantee”).
- Regional prices depend on your billing country. If we find that a regional price was obtained with false details, we may move the subscription to the standard price from the next renewal.
- Adding members part-way through a billing period is charged as shown at checkout. Removing members lowers the charge from the next renewal.
- We may change prices for future billing periods. We will email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
6. Billing, renewals and failed payments
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly, using the payment method on file, until you cancel. We send a receipt for every payment, and you can download your receipts in Settings. Yearly subscribers receive a reminder email before each yearly renewal.
If a renewal payment fails:
- We email you and keep your Team plan active for a 5-day grace period while you update your payment method.
- If payment still fails after the grace period, your account moves to the Free plan. The “Powered by” note returns on new documents (documents already sent are not changed). Members beyond the Free plan's allowance are deactivated: their access ends and their sessions, API keys and MCP tokens for the account are revoked, but nothing they created is deleted. The Owner can reactivate them after upgrading again.
- Your documents, clients and data are kept, and your clients' pay pages keep working.
Chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, please email [email protected] first; we will fix real errors quickly. If you open a chargeback or payment dispute for a valid charge, we may suspend paid features until it is resolved.
7. AI features and credits
The AI agent and other AI features, such as reading receipts or writing reminder text, use credits. Free accounts receive welcome credits for their first month after adding a card; prepaid cards cannot be used to unlock welcome credits. Team plans include monthly credits. You can also buy credit packs, or connect your own AI provider key, in which case that provider's terms and charges apply and no credits are used.
- Credit packs are bought only when you choose to buy them. We never charge for credits automatically.
- Free and welcome credits expire 1 month after they are granted. Purchased credits expire 12 months after purchase.
- Monthly plan credits that are not used do not carry over to the next month.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, resold or exchanged for money.
AI output can be wrong. The AI agent prepares drafts and acts only within your permissions; you decide what to send. Check every document before it goes to a client, unless you have chosen to turn on automatic sending. Do not give the AI agent special categories of personal data, such as health data, unless you need to and have a lawful basis.
8. Emails and messages we send for you
The Service can send documents and reminders to your clients by email, either through our own mail service within your plan's monthly email allowance, or through your own email account (SMTP) with no limit from us. Later, messages may also be sent through channels such as WhatsApp, Telegram or SMS using your own accounts with those providers.
- Send messages only to clients you have a real business relationship with.
- You are responsible for the content of your messages and for following anti-spam and marketing laws.
- We may pause sending from an account with high bounce or complaint rates, to protect delivery for all users, and will tell you why.
9. Refunds and money-back guarantee
30-day money-back guarantee
If you are not happy with the Team plan, email [email protected] within 30 days of your first Team payment (monthly or yearly) and we will refund that payment in full. No reason is needed. The guarantee applies once per account. After a refund, the account moves to the Free plan.
Renewals
Renewal payments are not refunded, except where the law requires it or where we charged you in error. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.
Extra members
Charges for extra members follow the same rules: they are covered by the 30-day guarantee when they are part of your first Team payment, and are otherwise not refunded for the current period.
Credit packs
You can ask for a full refund of a credit pack within 14 days of purchase if none of its credits have been used. Once credits from a pack have been used, that pack cannot be refunded. Expired credits cannot be refunded.
Donations
Donations are voluntary gifts to support the Service. They do not buy any product, service or extra features, and they are not charitable donations, so they are not tax-deductible. Donations are not refunded, except where a donation was made by mistake, by fraud, or charged twice. Email [email protected] within 30 days in those cases.
Charging errors
If we charge you the wrong amount or twice, we refund the difference as soon as we confirm the error.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method, in the original currency, and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. We cannot refund to a different card or account. Payment provider fees are not deducted from refunds.
Consumers in the EU and UK
If you buy as a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a legal right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days. Because the Service starts as soon as you pay, you ask us to start it straight away when you buy; our 30-day money-back guarantee gives you a full refund of your first Team payment in any case, which is longer than the legal period. For credit packs, the 14-day refund rule above applies.
10. Sponsorships
Businesses can sponsor Free Invoice Automation for a month at a time. A sponsorship is a paid advertising service sold by Genyune Inc., not a donation. Price, dates and placement are agreed in writing (email is enough) before payment.
- Where sponsors appear. The sponsor's name, logo and a link appear in the sponsors area of our marketing website for the paid month. Sponsors never appear on the invoice generator, documents, PDFs, the client portal, pay pages or emails to our users' clients. Sponsor links are marked as sponsored.
- Review. We review every sponsor before accepting, and may decline or remove any sponsor whose products, content or conduct is illegal, misleading, harmful, or conflicts with our values, for example gambling, adult content, weapons, tobacco, or unproven financial or environmental claims.
- Sponsor content. The sponsor confirms it has the right to use its name, logo and link, and that they are lawful and not misleading. The sponsor gives us permission to show them for the paid period. Being a sponsor does not mean we endorse the sponsor's products.
- Payment and renewal. Sponsorships are paid in advance for each month. They renew only if both sides agree, and either side can stop at the end of any paid month.
- Refunds. A sponsorship is not refunded once its month has started, except where we fail to show the sponsor as agreed (we then refund the days not shown) or remove a sponsor without a breach on its side. If we remove a sponsor for breaking these rules, no refund is due.
11. Returns
The Service is digital: there are no physical goods to return. A “return” of a paid plan or credit pack means a refund under “Refunds and money-back guarantee” above. When a refund is made, the related plan or unused credits end at the same time.
Products or services that you sell to your own clients are your responsibility. Their returns, refunds and credit notes are between you and your client, under your own terms. The Service gives you tools such as credit notes and refund records to handle them.
12. Cancellation, account deletion and termination
Cancelling a paid plan
You can cancel the Team plan at any time in Settings, Billing, or by emailing [email protected]. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep the Team plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and then your account moves to the Free plan. Your data is kept.
Deleting your account
The Owner can delete the account at any time in Settings. Before you do, export all your data: deletion cannot be undone. Deleting the account ends any paid plan without a refund for the remaining time (unless the money-back guarantee still applies), stops your clients' pay pages and links, and your data is then deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
Suspension or termination by us
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts other users or clients at risk, is used for fraud or abuse, or where the law requires it. Where possible we warn you first, give you a chance to fix the problem, and give you at least 30 days to export your data. If we close a paid account without a serious breach on your side, we refund the unused part of the current period.
What continues after the end
Sections that by their nature should continue after the end of this agreement continue, including payment of amounts owed, refunds, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law.
13. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- send fake, misleading or fraudulent invoices, or invoices for goods or services that were not agreed;
- send spam, phishing messages or unwanted bulk email;
- sell or invoice illegal goods or services, or launder money or finance terrorism;
- impersonate another person or business, or use a name, logo or brand you have no right to use;
- upload malware or unlawful content, or content that infringes someone else's rights;
- try to break, overload, test or get around the security or limits of the Service without our written permission;
- access another account's data, or scrape, copy, resell or rebrand the Service without our written permission;
- break any law, including tax, consumer protection, data protection, export control and sanctions laws.
You may not use the Service if you are, or act for, a person or country subject to sanctions that prohibit us or our payment providers from dealing with you.
Reporting abuse
To report abuse, such as a suspicious invoice sent through the Service, email [email protected] with the subject “Abuse report” and include the link or document number if you have it. We review every report and may suspend documents, pay pages or accounts while we investigate.
Security research
If you find a security problem, please report it privately to [email protected] and give us reasonable time to fix it before telling anyone else. Do not access data that is not yours.
14. Documents, estimates and electronic signatures
Documents you create are your documents, issued in your business's name. Once a document has been sent, it cannot be silently changed: changes are made as a new revision, and a sent invoice is corrected with a credit note or a void, so there is a clear record.
When your client accepts an estimate or signs a contract through the Service, we record the acceptance or signature with the date, time and technical details, and seal a copy of the signed document so it cannot be changed. A signed contract that needs changes becomes a new version that must be signed again. You are responsible for deciding whether an electronic signature is suitable for your type of contract and country.
You agree that agreements, notices and records between you and us may be made electronically.
15. Your content and your clients
You own the content you put into the Service: your business details, logos, clients, items, documents, files and other data (“Your Content”). You give us permission to host, copy, process and show Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you, for example to create PDFs, send emails and show pay pages to your clients. This permission ends when Your Content is deleted, except for copies in backups until they expire.
You are responsible for Your Content and for your relationship with your clients, including the accuracy of documents, the taxes you charge, the e-invoicing and record-keeping rules of your country, and having a lawful basis to process your clients' personal data and to tell them how you use it.
Data we process for you
For the personal data you enter about your own clients, you are the controller and we act as your processor. We process it only on your documented instructions to provide the Service; make sure the people who handle it are bound by confidentiality; protect it with appropriate security; use only service providers bound by the same duties, listed in our Privacy Policy (we will update that list before adding a new one, and you may object); help you answer your clients' data requests and meet your own security and data protection duties; tell you without undue delay about a personal data breach; delete it when you close your account (you can export it first); and give you the information you reasonably need to show that these duties are met.
16. Payments from your clients
To accept payments, you connect your own account with a payment provider such as Stripe, or show your bank details or local payment QR codes on documents. Your use of a payment provider is governed by that provider's terms, and the provider's fees are charged by the provider, not by us.
A document is marked as paid only from a verified event from the payment provider or a connected store, a reconciliation, or when you record the payment yourself. A browser redirect alone never marks a document as paid.
If you offer saved cards or automatic charges, the card stays with the payment provider; we store only a reference, the card brand and last 4 digits, and your client's consent. You must get that consent and honour any withdrawal of it.
Disputes, chargebacks and refunds with your clients are between you, your client and the payment provider.
17. API, MCP, apps and integrations
You can use the Service through our API, MCP server, CLI, apps, plugins and connectors with keys or tokens you create. They can do only what both their scopes and your role allow. Fair-use rate limits apply.
- Integrations and AI assistants create drafts; documents are sent only when you confirm them, or automatically where you have turned automatic sending on.
- If you connect an online store such as Shopify or WooCommerce, cancellations and refunds made in the store are mirrored automatically, for example by voiding an invoice or creating a credit note, and are recorded in the audit history.
- If you connect accounting software, we copy the data you choose to it. Check the results; you are responsible for your accounts.
Third-party apps and services you connect, such as an AI assistant, an online store, a payment provider or accounting software, are provided by those third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for them, and we may stop supporting an integration if the third party changes or ends its service.
18. No tax, legal or accounting advice
The Service includes tools such as tax presets, reports, a ledger and e-invoicing formats, but we do not give tax, legal, accounting or financial advice. Tax rules differ between countries and change often. Check with a qualified adviser that your documents, tax rates and records meet the rules that apply to you.
19. Your records and backups
We back up the Service every day, but you remain responsible for keeping the records the law requires you to keep, for example invoices for tax purposes. You can export your data at any time, and we recommend keeping your own copies, especially before you close an account.
20. Our intellectual property
The Service, its software, design, logo and brand belong to Genyune (SMC-Private) Limited and are protected by law. These Terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while your account is active. They do not give you any right to copy, sell or reverse-engineer the Service, or to use our name or logo, except where the law allows or we agree in writing. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any duty to you.
21. Availability and support
We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may carry out maintenance and will try to give notice of planned downtime that affects you. You can see the live status of the Service at status.freeinvoiceautomation.com.
Support is by email at [email protected]. Team plans receive priority support. We aim to answer quickly but do not promise response times unless agreed in an Enterprise order.
22. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no promises beyond those in these Terms, for example that the Service suits a particular purpose, or that documents it creates meet every legal or tax rule in your country.
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill;
- we are not liable for payments between you and your clients, or for the acts of payment providers and other third parties;
- our total liability for all claims about the Service in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in those 12 months and 100 US dollars.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing affects the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
If you use the Service for a business, you agree to cover our reasonable losses from claims by third parties caused by Your Content, your messages to clients or your breach of these Terms.
23. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, war, internet or power failures, attacks, strikes, actions of governments, or failures of our hosting, email or payment providers. We will do what we reasonably can to limit the effect on you.
24. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For important changes we will email account Owners at least 30 days before they take effect, and show the date of the last update at the top of this page. Changes needed for legal or security reasons may take effect sooner. If you do not agree with a change, you can cancel and delete your account before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the new Terms.
25. Governing law and disputes
- Paid plans, extra members, credit packs, sponsorships and donations, sold by Genyune Inc.: governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, and subject to the courts of Wyoming.
- Everything else about the Service, provided by Genyune (SMC-Private) Limited: governed by the laws of Pakistan, and subject to the courts of Karachi, Pakistan.
If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may also bring a claim in the courts there. Before going to court, please email [email protected] so we can try to solve the problem together; most issues can be settled within 30 days.
26. General
- Notices. We send notices to the email address of the account Owner, or show them in the Service. You send notices to [email protected].
- If part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them to a company in our group or to a buyer of the Service, and will tell you if we do.
- Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment or agency between you and us.
- No one other than you and us has any right to enforce these Terms.
- These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version applies where they differ, unless the law says otherwise.
- These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and any written order for an Enterprise plan, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
